our story
The founder Terry Sandlak and her late mother, LaVerne Peyton, had a dream to start up a high quality facility that supplied affordable pet care that owner’s could trust. In 2012, TLC PetSnip, Incorporated was formed. Terry created the 501(c)3 business out of the concern of pet overpopulation in the community. She discovered that the main reason people do not spay/neuter their pets is due to the high cost or the lack of availability to the services.
When opening their doors in 2013, TLC PetSnip, Inc. partnered with ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance (formally Humane Alliance) in Asheville, North Carolina. This organization mentors to over one hundred organizations in opening and operating high volume, high quality, low-cost spay/neuter clinics. TLC PetSnip is honored to be affiliated with ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance and grateful for their contributions.
Since opening the first non-profit veterinary clinic of Polk County in 2013, TLC PetSnip now has three clinics serving the three counties of Polk, Marion (est. November 2018) & Hillsborough (est. September 2017).
TLC PetSnip offers the community high quality veterinary services at an affordable cost. Since it’s opening, TLC PetSnip has successfully performed over 40,000 spay/neuter surgeries to help the furry friends in the communities they serve.
Terry and the TLC PetSnip family is extremely appreciative of the opportunity brought before them and for the ability to help thousands of animals. Contact TLC PetSnip today with any questions or if you would like to tour one of our clinics!
